As you can see by my clientele list, I have worked with a wide variety of customers, ranging from theatre and schools, to aerospace and utilities. If a client can share their expertise with me and describe a vision for their product, I can create whatever they want. I love learning about others’ passions. It is an interesting and fun challenge to express it visually.

I share a sampling of projects I have worked on overthe years. Logos and branding are both the most challenging and fun assignments for me

I was selected as a guest designer to work on a seasonal catalogue with Patagonia, a clothing company in Ventura, CA. I took three months’ sabbatical from my in-house contract designer position at Puget Sound Energy and worked with a team of designers, writers, and photo editor to produce this catalogue in 1989.

This station was known for introducing new musical talent who they often invited to play live in their studio. The station then selected favorite sessions to put onto yearly ON THE MOUNTAIN LIVE CDs. I was asked to design the On the Mountain 3 package after entering a cover design contest, which I did NOT win. But I got the better end of the deal! This package included the case cover and back design, cd, and music insert sheet. I also illustrated artwork and designed the following Summer Release CD which introduced ‘newer to the scene’ bands. This gang was good fun to work with! I miss them.

Seattle Children’s Theatre
One of my favorite clients was The Seattle Childrens’ Theatre. I worked with them for over 14 years. I was responsible for all design needs for Marketing and Drama Education as well as other SCT departments. Each year, the art director selected an artist who would design an art piece for each play. From that art, I created a seasonal brand look for the year. The projects included at least: two seasonal brochures, booklets, folders, posters, stickers, banners, bus placards, bookmarks, annual reports, invitations etc. I designed and produced course catalogues and other pieces for the Drama School as well.

One of the pro-bono projects I have done over the years was for The Phinney Neighborhood Association. I designed an Invitation package for their annual PNA Auction. The themes were always fun, albeit difficult, some years! The pieces included creating a look for the occasion; designing invite card, RSVP card, envelopes, and auction cover and occasionally ads/banners for the event. Fiesta was one of my favorite auction packages.

The Northwest School
I worked with The Northwest School for over seven years and this bi-annual alumni magazine was always an interesting challenge. Early on, I had good fun with their Annual Auction Invites which are worth asking to see. Many of the school’s pieces were designed with interesting paper folds They were well received and successful. I designed all of School’s internal and external print design work for several years.
